Assignment 1 -------- Paparazzi

Nowadays, you usually see a word, paparazzi by movie, news or magazines. What is called paparazzi, to pry into the gossip and private life of celebrities. Seeing that people are curious about private life of celebrities, the paparazzi prevail over the world.

Most of people don’t like the behavior of paparazzi. I don’t think the paparazzi should be stopped or banned but they don’t overdo. If they overdo, they will injure the reputation of celebrities. “Celebrities have and always will be the target of the media. It is what the public wants to see. If we choose to be in the public eye, we must accept this as part of the gig.” Ellen, West Hills, California said. As far as I am concerned I agree this comment. However, there are maybe two different conditions about paparazzi.

Essentially, some people who want to be famous need to be massive exposure. Furthermore, they will be in the limelight. The paparazzi make the celebrities famous.The celebrities maybe love and hate between the paparazzi.

Everyone needs to have his/her privacy. It is harm for celebrities to be snapped the photos. At the outset, in the process of becoming famous, people are inclined to receive everyone’s affection. As people become more renowned, their life will be disturbed. Sometimes, the paparazzi track them to snap the photos and reports on their news. “The paparazzi that chase the celebrities are animals in most cases and to an extent murderers (in one case, Princess Diana). There should be laws enacted and enforced that keep these mindless morons from pursuing any celebrity and maintaining a polite distance from them.” Jeff Devlin, Geneva, Florida said. Then, those people tracked by paparazzi can’t live calmly like before anymore.

“The press needs to learn the words "common decency" and "respect." Just because someone makes a movie or is popular does not give the press a right to give them no peace.” Kim Byers, Hudson, Florida said. The paparazzi need to look up to celebrity’s privacy. If paparazzi snap the photos of celebrities, they need to know to do that in moderation.

My first winter vacation in college

How time flies！The happy days always passed quickly. The winter vacation is over. This winter vacation is longer than before, more than one month. Because the Lunar New Year is late this year. It is the first time that I don’t have homework in the winter vacation different from before. It is nice. What’s the best, the winter vacation is a good time to go out with friends whom I haven’t seen for a long time. Along with friends, I had lunch and chatted something that is their life recently. I found that everyone changes a lot and get more mature. In addition, I went to Tainan with my parents and sister. We went to 安平古堡 and 安平老街 that I remember I have gone to there when I was a child. 安平老街 has many traditional food. There are many tourists for sightseeing. Furthermore, I read the novel in my spare time. It is named The Kite Runner. It is a touching story. When it comes to the Lunar New Year, it is my favorite festival. Because many relatives have reunion and dinner. After dinner, children will get red envelope and play games. We enjoy about that. During the winter vacation, I had fun. I hope my English will progress little by little.
